September 2019- Launch Evening for new Autumn term
We look forward to welcoming you for an enjoyable evening at the Blagdon Hill Studio... as well as a chance for a sneak peak at our new studio 2.
Feel free to attend any part or all of the evening that suits you (as a one off at Hannam Health, you can even skip the exercise and just enjoy the refreshments!). Just let us know when you reserve your place which parts of the evening you would like to attend.
Autumn 2019- NEW TIMETABLE
Autumn term begins Monday, 9 September... an expanded class program to bring you more strength, more energy and more fun!
All our regular classes continue with the exception of Pilates on Tuesdays at 5.45 pm.
This will be replaced by Strong Fit which is a class dedicated to improving strength and fitness. Don’t expect your normal gym workout.
The new Cardio HIIT class focus is on more energy and more fun from your training.
Pilates on Tuesday mornings will start at 9.15 am as opposed to 9.30 am.
Yoga will move from Thursday evenings to Wednesday evenings at 6.30 pm.
August 2019- Summer Health & Wellbeing never felt so good!
Fancy a positive feel good morning of Yoga with a friendly group this Summer?
Thursday, 29th August- Yoga morning for all. This will be taken by Yoga Instructor Steph Leitner and hosted by Rosemary Hannam. The morning will include a comprehensive Yoga class suited to all abilities, hydration station and nutritious snacks, a brief look at some key Yoga principles and ending with a beautiful wind down class leaving you feeling refreshed and relaxed. Places are limited. Members: £32, Non-members: £37.
April 2019- Get ready for the Summer Term
What a fantastic Spring Term we’ve had! Classes have been buzzing and full of people getting healthier, fitter and happier which is so great to see.
Spring Term classes end Friday 12th April. Summer Term runs from Monday 29th April - Monday 8th July for 9 weeks of classes. There are some dates to be aware of, so do check the details on the Timetable page.
It’s been great to hear such positive feedback from those of you who have been taught by our resident expert trainer & Physiologist Richard Hannam recently. Classes will be run by Richard from Monday, 13 May until Wednesday, 12 June inclusive.

We have an ace new addition to our program. The brand new Met-X class will start on Tuesday 5th Feb, 7.15-8.15pm at the Blagdon Hill Studio.
We are delighted that Applied Physiologist & Trainer Richard Hannam from Hannam Health & Performance in Clifton will be joining us on Tuesdays only to offer Lifestyle Health Assessments and lead the Met-X class.

November 2018- Reserve your place for January Birth Preparation Morning
Advanced bookings are now being taken to secure a place for the Birth Preparation Workshop on January 12th with Dr Kim de Vocht.
These sessions have had fantastic feedback (both after the session and post birth!). A great opportunity for any mum-to-be who is due to meet her baby in 2019 and wants the best in practical preparation.

November 2018- Keep Fit Christmas lunch
The Christmas lunches are always a great time to have a chat and some festive fun to round up another fantastic year!
The Keep Fit Christmas lunch is on Wednesday, 12 December, meeting at 1 pm at the Queens Arms in Pitminster.

October 2018- Autumn Mum afternoon reTREAT
We have a new mum retreat afternoon specially designed for Mums dreaming of some true space and rejuvenation time. The afternoon will consist of gentle restorative yoga based movements to support a postnatal healing body, deep breathing practices, replenishment by the log fire, hot tub and a final deep relaxation practice.

July 2018 - Yoga Teacher Training Part 1
The first 10 days of the Residential Yoga Teacher Training course with Peter Sterios from California proved to be a truly inspiring experience! We felt incredibly lucky to have such fantastic tuition right here in our very own studio in the Blackdown Hills. Lovely students from Iceland, Ireland and England all contributing to make it a great experience all round. This was Peters first UK Teacher Training course and by all accounts, he enjoyed the experience as much as we did! Now to digest it all before part 2 in September...
July 2018 - Summer Yoga Block

May 2018- New Birthing Workshop June 16th
We are delighted to be offering a Saturday morning (10-1pm) birthing workshop with Dr Kim de Vocht. The approachable and relaxed workshop is to help mums-to-be to feel confident and prepared on the practical aspects for their upcoming birth.
The workshop brings together the best aspects from Pregnancy Yoga, Hypnobirthing and the latest research to provide a comprehensive overview to support women for a positive and controlled labour and birth.
Limited availability. Places will be allocated on a first booked, first reserved basis. Next workshop date is September 22nd.
April 2018- Treat yourself... to a massage that is right for you.
Hannam Health now offers a range of massage, from relaxing holistic and baby massage to sports and remedial massage.
Appointments with experienced and friendly masseuse Naomi Speyer are now available on Mondays and Thursdays.

March 2018- Summer Term Dates for the diary
Hopefully you are feeling fit and well as our Spring term draws to a close. Classes end on Wednesday, 28 March. The Summer Term runs from Monday 9th April to Friday 6th July- with a few confusing dates to pay close attention to (apologies for this!)
Week commencing April 9th: Monday classes with Rosemary are on, Studio Cycling with Malcolm is not. No classes on Tuesday, 10 April and on Wednesday, 11 (apart from Pregnancy Yoga). Yoga and Salsa starts on Thursday, 12 April. On Friday, 13 April Weighted Workout is at 8.45 am and Pilates is at 10 am.
Week commencing April 16th: All classes resume as normal
No classes on Monday, 7 May (May Day), and half term is the week commencing 28 May to Friday, 1 June inclusive.
The term will end on Friday, 6 July, although there is a Studio Cycling class on Monday, 9 July at 10 am. On Friday, 11 May classes will be covered by another instructor.

February 2018- Wellbeing event with the experts to take place in early Summer
We are so looking forward to welcoming Nutrition expert Rozzie Yoxall and Applied Physiologist Richard Hannam to the Blagdon Hill studio. The feedback we have had for the March 3rd event is that people are keen not to miss out on this opportunity, but are unable to make a Saturday morning. After some deliberation, we have decided to postpone the event to early Summer and provide an evening of the two talks. This will give as many people as possible the chance to join us and we can enjoy a great sociable and engaging evening with some nutritious nibbles while we get well and truly up to speed on the latest in health & wellbeing!

We were delighted to hear such positive feedback from our first exclusive health assessment day earlier in January with our visiting expert Physiologist.
We currently have just two appointment times left on Thursday 25th January for you to have your 30 minute Lifestyle Health Assessment with instant results and guidance.
All results are kept confidential unless you choose to discuss them with your instructor.

We are delighted to announce that we will be offering two exclusive dates in January for lifestyle health & wellbeing assessments. Hannam Health & Performance (based in Clifton, Bristol) specialises in individual health assessments and tailored lifestyle solutions to improve health and wellbeing.
Limited lifestyle health & wellbeing assessment appointments will be available on Thursday 11th and 25th January at the Hannam Health Fitness & Wellbeing Studio in Taunton, Somerset. Assessments will be delivered by an experienced Applied Physiologist. December 2017- New term dates for the New Year
With the final Hannam Health classes of 2017 almost upon us and a fun filled festive period (of potentially a little bit of over indulgence!) about to hit, we are thinking ahead to a healthy and happy New Year... all your classes will be back up and running from Thursday 4th January. Note that Pregnancy Yoga classes will start back on Wednesday 3rd January and Salsa will start back on Thursday 11th.

September 2017- Fantastic start to Salsa!
We kicked off the new course of Salsa classes on Thursday September 21st with a great fun group of beginners all new to the dance floor. Martin (the fantastically passionate teacher) got us all enjoying learning the basic Salsa steps with upbeat Latin music to blow away the Autumnal feeling!
The course runs until November 30th. We still have space for a few more to join the friendly group if you would like to give the class a go for £7.50 next Thursday.

What a cracking Summer term! Everyone has worked really hard in classes over the last couple weeks- whether it's been planking for that little bit longer in Pilates or pushing the spin bike resistance. May 2017- Fantastic Spring Pause Escapes weekend!
The latest Pause Escapees (hosted at the Blagdon Studio) enjoyed a weekend full of country walking, biking, yoga, stand-up-paddle boarding, massage, fabulous healthy food and plenty of laughs. The fabulous Anna Middleton, Raw Chef & Health Food Educator was on hand on Sunday to prepare a Rawsome lunch with a workshop on how to prepare her amazingly delicious raw food!

New Year Retreat day- January 2017
What a fantastic New Year retreat day we had on Saturday with Pause Escapes and Anna Middleton! Thank you to all those who joined us for a really enjoyable and informative day. We learnt lots of practical tips on making small changes to our eating to make it super tasty and packed full of nutritious goodness. In amongst the delicious food tasting, we also spent time perfecting key body conditioning and relaxation exercises.
It was great to see so much interest in this event and we know there were plenty of you who were keen to come along but could not make the date- if you’re interested in future similar events, or have a group of your own who would like a custom designed retreat day, just let us know!

Hannam Health classes start back for the New Year on Thursday 5th January. We look forward to seeing existing members back, as well as new faces joining us, ready to enjoy kicking those resolutions into action! We aim to give you all the help you need to achieve your health and fitness goals in 2017.
Christmas Celebrations at Hannam Health
Great to have time to chat, eat well and celebrate at the various Christmas social events. The Queens Arms hosted us all well and we even managed a festive workout after the meal. Thankfully we had a room to ourselves which enabled us to make the most of the celebrations. Danielle came first in the Flying Angels and Running Reindeer competition and was the lucky winner of a skipping rope which I am sure she will use every day! The Fit For Life Christmas Celebrations included a fun lunch at the Cross Keys. Lots of laughing, singing and a good meal made it all very enjoyable. Christmas afternoon tea at the Trull Community Tea room was a lovely way to end the term. I would like to thank you all for your kind gifts and good wishes!
Social Cycle Ride - 22nd October 2016
Many thanks for joining the ride last Saturday. Although the Autumnal mist certainly added to the cold it did also create a challenge and created a different 'feel' about the ride. We had about 24 riders. Two routes included a more steady 10 mile route and a 16 mile route with a challenging hill climb. Sylvia Jackson kindly took a few pictures before we set off. I appreciate some of you had not arrived which is a pity but most of us are present. Thank you also for your contributions, as well as taking some exercise we raised £75 for the Playing Field which is excellent and will help with the upkeep costs.
What an exciting summer for Hannam Health!
The past few months have been packed full of exciting renovation projects, social events and successful sports performances.
Most importantly, you may have noticed a slight rebranding... Rosemary’s Keep Fit has undergone a summer face lift and is now ‘Hannam Health: Fitness and Wellbeing’ with a new studio and website.

New studio August 2016:
As the class members from last term who were attending the Blagdon Hill studio will be aware of, we began a redevelopment project in June to upgrade and expand the existing barn studio into a stunning new space for Hannam Health. Local builder (Steve Sparks) has done a fabulous job maintaining the beautiful original features, while ensuring we achieve the most stunning light space for people to enjoy working out in, whether it is on a spin bike or a Pilates mat. We hope you all enjoy your brand new space!
The questionnaires that so many of you took the time to complete last term have proved really helpful. It was fantastic to see so much positive feedback from class members and plenty of additional information which we will take on board for the future. Many of you responded that you would like active social events during the holiday times, which we immediately put into action over the summer (see below). There was also a very positive response to the introduction of one off and ongoing health assessments, which we are looking to introduce in the future.
Thank you so much to everyone that attended the various active social events we held over the summer- it was fantastic to see so many of you putting your beach towels to one side and getting involved. We enjoyed country woodland walks of various distances and two great evening cycle rides around the Blackdown hills. As if the benefits from all that activity weren’t enough, we also managed to raise money for the local Mencap charity (final total to be confirmed).

Rosemary hasn’t taken the summer off to put her feet up, as usual (as those of you who know her will be all too aware) she has been running, swimming and biking her way round the South West. She won 1st lady in her age category in both the Wellington Sprint Triathalon in May and the Burnham-on-sea Sprint Triathalon in June.
